I'm new to this forum so tried to sell domain but Error that i see what was the reason
and i personally like that DP is not allowing people to direct posting and this feature will keep clean this forum

i can see that many member is active since few month/year but they don't have enough likes so i'm thinking it's hard to get likes

anyway i will try to do my best

You were just a member for a day and already think it is hard to be established member?
Even with old rules, you would not be able to access the Marketplace as it need certain days to use it.
Don't look on how long the member already registered in this board. Look on How much their contribution at this forum.
I have seen lots of new members getting more than three likes in just few days.
To make it simple, member with great dedication that contribute and make high quality post, deserve to get likes.
Actually the rules is perfect as it designed to satisfy everyone. There is no more old and new member. The only difference is 'high quality member' and 'Less quality member'.
I really like the spirit. :)
I recommend you to be active on your favorite forum (or sub forum) in this board. Use all your skills and knowledge to help others.
A nice advice. I am agree with you.
People whom the intention is doing business in this board should get premium membership. I always respect any premium member, especially if they already had lots of likes but still buying the membership.

Don't get discouraged, it's not a big deal to get likes. I've gotten 2 just today. Most contributing members become established within a week, 10 days at the most.
This like business helps to weed at the spammers who can't create threads on marketplace because they aren't established, due to the fact they don't have the required 3 likes. The like system does seem to have worked out rather well.

I gotta do the same. I was locked out from dp since I got a new android & the 2 factor authentication wasn't configured on my new phone. Tweeted @dp many times but nothing happened. Surprisingly, I logged in today via fb, still don't know how...

I am not an established member also, but that's not really the point. Just contribute when you can, and patience is the key.

When something comes easy, you appreciate it less.

I had been an established member many years ago but left for a while. In early September, I had a need for a logo and immediately thought of a DP contest. I came back and discovered that I had no Likes. I was able to run my contest within a week (got my three Likes) and less than two months from my return, I have thirty of them. I do stick to areas where I know something and can possibly help but getting more likes has not been a priority for me. I come to exchange ideas, for the most part.

Of course, the fast results could be because of my good looks....:)

when something useful for other people, it would be better than looking for the title of being established member

I have to disagree, I have been helping as much as I possibly can in the legal department and some in the programming department and it is almost impossible to get likes. I really have nothing to sell but I do not like how some people get likes for helping and others do not. But I guess that is how the cookie crumbles

To be able to like a post you have to be an established member. You can get likes by helping other people and generally contributing in this forum. It may sound difficult, but it just requires a bit of your effort. In my opinion, just browse through the forum and try to stick to the areas that you are best off so you can help other people.

It is not so hard. This post just got Kurk his third like. Now he will be able to like others, post in the contest forums, etc.

I have to disagree with you. I have received quite a few likes from posting in the Legal forum, and I have absolutely no legal training at all. What I've done is to offer my opinion based solely on my experiences.
Perhaps your problem lays not in your content, but in your delivery. Try and write to fellow members as if you're sitting in front of them talking. (be informal)
