its quite difficult because there are so many well established classifieds and craigslist websites with almost all possible features. but if you can think of doing things differently, good, else it could turn out to be a bad idea..

 

for the first is promotion...your website must be known as well by all people also it is famous...and having something more that all people need like promotion their thing in selling or something that most famous in this year and next year also

Classified sites will be more popular with awesome marketing strategy , as much your marketing will colorful , as your site will be popular

 

I think it is very difficult to replace or compete with the ones that are already here. Since your topic and body message are the same thing, I think you are just lazy.

 

For running a classifieds site one should be master in Marketing. Looking unique in lots of already available sites will work, you can't compete with old giants by launching a same looking site and hoping that people will come and post ads will definitely not work.

I thing only more number of traffic only can built your website strong. People can only post their ads where find more visitors. So your first aim should be to promote your website to drag traffic.

 

This is interesting because I recently purchased a classified site for cheap and pulled down the old design and only kept the domain name. I decided that there are to many classifieds to compete with and that I wanted to create a community. So I created a forum with classifieds. So I'll see how it works out.

I find that classifieds can be successful with consistency. You have to actually be out there posting ads on a daily basis to really see the benefit in it. I've posted to places like Craigslist and Backpage with a great deal of success. It really has a lot to do with the type of ads you are posting and again, how consistent you are.

thats true.......classified plays an important role in building up the business to some great extent,everyone goes through classified to promote there brand so that it can gain more popularity so classified is the first and foremost thing to build up the business

 

I like this idea.. buying an already established classified site, updating and creating a forum to go with it. The forum done properly will keep it members active and they most likely will promote your classified site!

Basically what I am saying is to take a successful idea and make it better. Classic example is Facebook is basically an improved MySpace!
One tip, I can share is to keep your classified site basically spam/scam/fraud free, people like dealing with sites that they trust (so does Google)

Yes , your are correct. For example 'backpage' , that is classified site for all category but usually people know it for escort services. So this depends on the benefit people gaining from the site and its popularity about several categories.
