Bluehost VPS vs HostGator VPS

I am planning to move my site to VPS but not able to decide which company offers better services. I am little confused between HG level 3 VPS plan and BH standard plan. Price is not an issue here. Which company is offering better services, has less downtime...please advice.

HG is using "AMD" and BH is offering "Single core" CPU. Which one is better?

Just so you know, Bluehost and HostGator are technically the same company (EIG). Which offers better services and less downtime? Neither - both of them suck. :(

While those two are common choices, there could be better ones. Explore some more options before you make any final decisions. If you are looking for a VPS then generally you have some good traffic volume and a fair bit of data. I imagine you will want to stay where you land so again do a bit more exploring before you hit the order form. Good luck finding the right host that can provide you with reliable hosting at an affordable price.

There is no single "best host," you gotta do your research and choose the one which fits your needs perfectly. Check out KnownHost and WiredTree, see if what they offer suits your needs.

I kinda sorta like Sparknode better
    • 2 Intel Xeon Cores
    • 2 GB RAM
    • 100 GB Disk Space
    • 5000 GB Bandwidth
    For $50 /month. I don't trust any of EIG's companies https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endurance_International_Group

    pricewise -

    volumedrive.net
    digitalocean.com
amazonaws ( if you have low bw requirement, otherwise it will get expensive FAST!)

As far as I know, both hosting providers are great and provide the best uptime on their servers. So, you are to choose the server according to the parameters you like and which suit your server more .

Follow this guy's advice. Wiredtree and knownhost are great VPS providers definitely worth checking out.

Definitely bluehost and hostgator wrong choice.

I have vps servers at digitalocean.com and chicagovps.net all rock solid.
