    How seriously do you take Quotations AND do you implement it or take it as a fun???
    After reading this Quotation my fear end :cool:
    "In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure"

    I went through a phase in school when I would write down and clip any quotation that I thought was inspiring or motivational or wise, etc. I think binging on inspirational quotations has kind of numbed my perception of them from that point on. Now I feel like a cynic, because "inspirational quotes" will always be something that is associated with school and being a teenager for me.

    That said, my favourite quote ever is Jimi Hendrix's "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

    @Black Bird

    Quotations are of many types & they help in different scenarios / situations
    For Ex:
    “Develop success from failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success.” Dale Carnegie
    This would help people to get motivated , especially when they meet up with failure in something

    "The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them." - Mark Twain (1835-1910)
    this is self-explanatory that insist people to read book , this is neither motivating nor appreciating , it is informative

    “The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus.” Bruce Lee
    This says , how focused a man has to be in-order to succeed. This is informative

    So it entirely depends on how to take the quotations , you can either understand & implement it or accept & feel it.

    Love it!

    Talking about school, I had a journal packed with quotations for every week, and I considered them as some instructions or even predictions on what I should do or what can happen that particular week. It helps when one lacks some self-organization skills, as it seems now :)

    OOooooh, man I also had a notebook like that! It was basically just something my parents got me to write my homework in, so I don't forget, but I would also use the "inspirational quotes" as some sort of horoscope for the day/week/month. :D Good times... good times.

    Reading good quotations surely helps in the way we think. It is not necessary to read them on a daily basis but just when you are feeling low, reading some of them really helps.

    Yes, a lot! In fact, I have a diary full of inspiring quotations for every situation and each time I feel low for any reason I just open up my journal and go through it and it refreshes my mind almost instantly!
