hello, i am writing a book on these kind of scammers, can you PM me what he did ? so other sellers can be aware of it and not get cheated.

    Here is a tip :

When you are selling digital products, do not let anyone send you money through PayPal with shipping address, they can easily open a dispute and take back the cash. But as a buyer some people do that as I have been scammed 3-4 times by sellers by sending without shipping address.

just try to have a mutual understanding.

Do you have any solid proof he has a duplicate account?
If you have then pass it onto one of the moderators and they will take action.

This is something that Nigerian Princes tend to say....

Sorry, I know Iam threadhijacking, but what platform do you rely on for sales? Like majority of sale sites can have new members (without profiles) so I am unsure how you find buyers? and do you use escrow or similar type system? The reason I ask is that people have also been scammed on places like Godaddy, where the buyer used stolen cards / hacked paypal accounts to make payment.

Easy, the people who pay soo much for a less worth site. I am not sure if to use escrow, but I think using PayPal is good. escrow has alot of fees. Its all you luck i guess :p

I think I read the post before you, my point was that one should only give domain once payment received and also according to paypal policy no refund for intangible products even if he opened a dispute...

Very few savvy businesspeople would paint an entire country, region or group of people with a single brush because of a few bad actors. That said, I would hate to be a legitimate, online businessperson trying to do business from Nigeria to the U.S. because of all of the spam that was sent over the years.

Low chance that you will win the dispute. Paypal usually sides the buyers. Good luck though.

How about Digital Point creating an Escrow service, which for a reasonable charge from the buyer as well as the seller, would hold the money and/or the title to the property for sale for a given period of time.

Within the said period of time, both the buyer and the seller would confirm that they are both happy with the transaction.

Subject to such a confirmation from both sides, the property and/or the funds would be released by Digital point.
