TO be honest, I can't stand these headlines!!! I also saw this other guy start saying, "What's even more impressive is that he's blind and has one arm!" I thought was not appropriate but I see his point... We as people get sucked into this kind of stuff ALLLL the time... Interesting

I think that you wrote a particularly good headline due to the potential double entendre. Throughout history, clever words have caught the attention of people and basic human nature, in the form of curiosity, takes over. However, closing the deal is another matter. You can draw them in, but that does not necessarily mean that you will get the order. But, of course, it is the critical first step.

 

For many news websites the simple click is enough of a win, hence why the headlines drain most of their creative juices. Its an entirely different scheme from the one employed by a commercial website and though people with common sanity will find those often distasteful they still reel A LOT of people in.
