Ideas to Attract Customers using Social Networks

Hey everyone!

In a few months, we will be opening a sports bar establishment. Any suggestions on using social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, etc... to attract customers?

We were thinking something like: "Follow us on Twitter to receive promotion codes for discounts!" or sending tweets like:"Join us for tonight's game at 8 PM. Free drink with your pizza!"

We'd like to hear your ideas.

 

Cold beer, cheap food, well-endowed bartenders.

If you have these three key elements, customers will surely come.

On a side note...

Do you have a website?

If not, create a Facebook page - Google will rank either one of these - resulting in more customers for you.

But, don't invite them to a bad party, they're going to come looking for those three key elements.

Basically keep locals updated with what's happening in the world of sports.

Have you thought about hosting poker tournaments? Many poker players are into sports.

Also, I am sure you would get more people through the door if you could somehow get local sports stars to visit your bar for certain events.

 

you can make use of the social media platform to interact with your customers and potential customers. have monthly sports competitions and events that deal with sports by these you get people to know about your product. You can also hold kids event to engage in some kid staff. During this events you can give out free drinks or subsidized food to any one who comes and you might create a good base of customers. Look up some great bars in NYC, or other major city that probably have a FB presence and see what they are doing to attract customers. I would recommend that you have a FB account, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and any other social network that you think your customers will use. Add content every day if you can that adds some value to the customer. Have a deal of the day or post about the football games on Twitter and Facebook. Post on Instagram cool videos and pictures of when the bar is full and people are having fun. The same goes for snapchat. You can even use Instagram and Snapchat to promote your daily deals. Of course, with snapchat, you should test the daily deals idea because your customers might not want to hear about deals on snapchat--it is worth testing though.

Honestly, look up Gary Vaynerchuk. He has a show where he talks about the nuances of using social media platforms to sell products. He has tons of content on it that you should check out--he has a marketing company that specializes in marketing using social media.
