    You probably need to start driving traffic to your blog first before considering any monetization. What's the point of monetizing a site if it still has no traffic?

    I’ve found the best way to make money blogging is to do sponsored posts, and selling a product like an eBook on your own blog.

    You mean an ebook written by myself, or there is a way to find people that want to post a link in your blog to their ebook so you get commission form the ebook sales? And about the sponsored post, is there a website where i can find people that wants sponsored post on my niche?

    Yes, create a free account in Clickbank and search in the Marketplace for your niche. you mentioned your blog is about "the greatest US city". Maybe its new york city? If it is, just search the name in clickbank and you'll get a result for a product or ebook thats related. then post the affiliate link in the bottom of your blog articles and you will get paid in commissions. Follow this advice and you will make lots of money over the long term. keep posting articles. you're on the right path!

    You must at least have enough and stable traffic every month in order to monetize your blog.
