Let me know when they are coming so I can set up my watching station before they run by.

Right, I lived here for 2 years, and just out of the blue, some guy showed up, and noted on his slip that I had two
dogs, and that they need to be registered, and they are not harmful dogs by any means, but that does not matter....
first off, how did he know that I had two dogs? The only way he would have known that is if they obtain apartment
information, and the apartment would know that I had two dogs; another reason is if someone complained about our
dogs, and I am not aware of any complaints concerning our two dogs, so I am unsure why he is showing up now...
and since we are now moving; I am not going to worry about WA Pet Registration, no need at this point....

If you are un-sure, then you would need to check with your county, and see if pet registration is required; Just because
you are unaware of it, does not mean it does not exist; otherwise, if the county finds out that you have dogs, and they
require them to be registered, then you may get a surprise visit just like I did, right out of the blue; On the slip, it said
I had 3 days to comply with the notice, and the notice was posted last week, and have not heard anything since....
and to be honest, at this point, I do not really care as I will be on the road in another 2-3 weeks....

Ofcourse there are countries where they have taxes for pets. We even had taxes for kids earlier, I mean not as tax, but we had one child policy, so if want second child had to pay a one-time fee for the second child.

We have to pay a one-time fee, licence for dogs, I am not sure about other pet animals. But I have a licence for my golden retriever.

I had heard of this policy but did not realize that you could pay a "tax" and have a second child. As bad as taxes are here in the U.S., we do get a tax credit (deduction) for every child in the household that we support. It is a very, very small credit, but at least we do not pay more. :)

Yes that was earlier, not anymore. But even if people paid extra money to have a second child, they would get social insurance for both the kids.
