How much likes, votes, thumbsup you get on social bookmarking sites?

    I have been doing bookmarking for many years now and was wondering, soon after we submit a link to the bookmarking site, there is a display of votes/likes/thumbsup near our bookmarked link, that number never increases.

    I guess, since we are already sharing in our DP forum about "top 10" or "most popular" social bookmarking sites, why not share our profiles from these bookmarking sites. In this way, wherein we end-up having just 1 Vote or zero Vote for our bookmarking sites, we can give votoes and likes to each other on those sites. Yes just like digg or stumble.

    I would love to hear some more ideas and opinions about it from others here.

    I usually start off getting a couple hundred in the first month, growing to a few thousand the next and it grows like that really.

    We've had people doing that in the past and closed the threads down as the social bookmarking sites end up being manipulated and spammed. Nothing has happened to change our views on that kind of thing.

    I can understand about that, people can sometimes be too much, when it comes to spamming. However, my query is about all ghe bookmarking sites and not just facebook or twitter sites.

    I think that the quality of the traffic you get, and the conversions that leads too, is more important than the number of likes, etc.
