    Hey everyone,

I just wanted to get everyone's feedback on what they feel their three biggest pet peeves are with file hosting sites, i.e. too many pop up ads, ridiculous wait times, etc. I am anxious to hear everyone's thoughts!

Don't forget that popups cost us time and screen real estate. And that slow loading costs us time.

I like to use Media Fire file hosting site. It is free and has been recommended by many top magazines.

    Hey mmerlinn,

thanks for your reply. Do you think it would be fair to offer some sort of priority queue where a user could pay a small amount to be moved to the top of the download priority list? What I am getting at is I know that these file hosting sites are trying to cut their cost by throttling everyone's download speed, but what if you could pay a dollar or two and get placed at the top of the download priority list? I just think there has to be a better way of handling large traffic demands on the file hosting sites server so that everyone gets a chance to download at a decent rate and doesn't have to wait forever. What's your thoughts???

yes I have used Media Fire, it is nice, but there has to be a better way to handle traffic demands when a lot of people are downloading at the same time.

There's actually no "download queue" on file sharing sites. That's all about monetization model choosen by file sharing site owner. The most popular model is affiliate system on premium account sale. End user forced to purchase premium account if he wants to download something. Owner of this file will get %% from sale, so he's motivated to promote his content uploaded on particular file sharing site.
