Most imp thing do ON-PAGE optimization properly. Nowadays algorithms has changed allot. It takes time to rank up high in search Engine.
I suggest you to do following things.
ea) Add proper title , keywords, description in website on every page.
b) Do proper content optimization to rank your website high because Search engine fetches content easily.
c) Social Bookmarking
d) Directory Submission
e) Answer submission on Quora or any.
f) Article submission
g) write blogs
h) Classifieds ads
i) Most imp - keep posting on social networking sites.
All off-page work must be done on high PR submission websites.
If you don't know to gain traffic then its useless doing SEO.
