photoshop is very powerful. I did a course on it, and all I learnt, was how much I still had to learn.

Adobe Photoshop CS Classroom in a Book -> is essential and it is what I had to use to learn. IF I was to give you instructions, I would need to write a 400 page book! Noone can write simple instructions in a single forum post to teach you everything. You need the book.

The course I did was once a week, and took 3 months to complete. So, if you work hard, and work full time on learning photoshop and learning with the book, then it should take you 2-4 weeks to finish the book and learn the basics. After that, it should be easy for you to start learning on your own. It will take you a long time to practice.

The book give you basic step by step beginners instructions and tasks. Some libraries may have copies of it. Even if it is old version, borrow it and learn.

Amazon sells used copies. Or use ebay (or other) to try to find local used copy for cheap.

If you cannot find a book, have a look at udemy.com
Udemy sells courses online for alot of different things.
