Expensive products for Dropshipping?

I saw sooooo many different opinions about products when we do dropshipping. And now I don't know what to do. In some articles I saw the next thing "you need to choose the products with lowest price" on other articles " If you want to make money, you need to sell expensive items".

Based on experience wich one it's the best?

 

Price shouldn't be the initial focus. Focus on the vertical you want to sell in and then do market segmentation before you do price segmentation. Once you understand your potential audience, then you'll be able to determine if you should be dropshipping items that are lower price or higher priced.

 

I drop ship products priced under $20. If someone needs a return or refund.. $5 is a lot better to refund than $200. It is also (typically) easier/cheaper to persuade someone to buy a lower priced item than expensive.

 

I agree, higher the price, then the more difficult it will be to make the sale.
there are alot of factors, if I like something on your site for $10-$20, then I may take
a chance (am I going to trust you) however, if the product is going to be $100-$200 or
more, then I may stick to sites I do trust for sure ie: ebay, amazon, walmart, etc....

I would not mind adding a higher priced product in the mix every now and then....
but do I want to move 100 cheap products fast, or take my time with 1-2 products...
It could make up for the cheap products, however, like the man says, more risk also....

There really is not a whole lot of options out there. If you do find a US supplier, then your cost goes way up, and besides, i suspect 95% ecomm owners
sell aliexpress crap from china that takes 3 weeks to arrive....

and competition is bad no matter how you look at it...
you either have to master FB ads for fast traffic...
or master SEO for slow traffic that may take months
to start making a few bucks, and hope you do not get
google slammed somewhere in the process....

running a site for profit is not as easy as people think...
you have to wear many hats, create/buy quality content...
obtain quality backlinks at a slow pace, and so on....

 

First, identify your audience and target location. Once identified, you can set competitive pricing. Calculate the shipping costs based on the target location.

Depends on the traffic source fb ads $500 product might not sell or will be harder to sell then other traffic sources!
