Very wise. Some Big Brand owners show no mercy. I would rather forget it than have to defend my case against the kind of legal artillery Nike would have at their disposal.

Have you ever looked at the marketing research on the subject?

Here is a research paper (22 pages) by SARAH TODD Postgraduate Director, Department of Marketing, University of Otago and ZSÓFIA KENESEII Associate Professor, Budapest University of Economic Sciences. www.empgens.com/resources/Price-Purchase-Decision.pdf

It makes interesting reading for serious marketers. Among other things it shows that many people forget what price an item cost them just seconds after they have bought it.

Prices might be all that matter to you, but similar research to what I quoted has been done by numerous serious market researchers, with simialr results.

From my own experience I can tell you that when I started importing in 1987, I competed with well established businesses, selling B2B. My price originally was substantially higher than what competitors were charging, but I took over 30% of my major competitor's market in the first year.

I never competed on price, but concentrated on quality and service. After 3 years I had 90% of the market in the most important market sector that I was supplying. If I had sold on price, the customers who were sick of faulty products and non-existent service would have thought I was just another supplier.

IMO, those who can only sell on price are poor sales men or women, willing to work on low margins. I always made high profit margins.

So here's a stupid question - what exactly are you selling through print-on-demand service? Are you targeting like a specific niche or interest set with those? I ask because I feel like I've seen a lot of more like "nerd culture" focused print-on-demand shops on Facebook, and since there's so many of them I have to assume they're doing pretty well. Have you had a lot of luck targeting a specific vertical, or are you just seeing what sticks still?

@MaxGoodman check it out man, he hasn't been on the forum since he wrote this, or copied and pasted it. He also wrote a post a day or two prior, "Help I need drop shipping company." Smh... It's hard to trust anyone online anymore. I looked online couldn't really find him, maybe some things on Amazon. Seemed like an interesting post, similar to the blog post I just wrote on my site, "Who am I?"

He's dabbled in Clickbank and some other Affiliates it looks like.

Anyway, I'm done for the night. I make money by providing solutions to problems at the right time. No gimmicks, no fake a// "I made a million bucks and I'll show you how to in 7 minutes, but you have to pay me $1k" junk. I provide a service, I blog and tell others, I've written books (haven't sold much but working on marketing). Takes Perseverance and Patience. If you are in the game and you can't embrace the suck of being depressed because you didn't get a sale or lost a few email subscribers then please get out (anyone reading this).

Failures are my gateway to success, helping you succeed and others succeed with whatever issue they may have, that's where my value comes in, that's where I make money online.

    Take Care

I personally know someone who uses Shopify, Amazon + Dropshipping. Her store is very successful. She also has courses on how to be successful like she is. She has students that are very successful. And I'm actually going to purchase her course soon! So she makes money with her store + course. She is a very talented young woman.

If you know her personally then you might be in a position to know that the story of her success is true. The big problem for newbies is that there are so many fake success stories around published by people who are selling courses, that there is no way to tell if they are true or not.

Copies of sales results can so easily be altered. It pays to be skeptical about earnings claims.

I hope for your sake that the person you are referring to is genuine.

    Well said @Importexport :
I didn't want to take the time to reply to her answer, but I did see it. Also, how much is her course? There are a ton of free courses out there providing the same information and value. Don't get us wrong Katie, just be vigilant when you are new to the game. I'm new to Digital Point but have been in the game awhile. Check out Udemy.com also. Attached link is to a free course I am not affiliated with them, (yet).
