    My current business model will take me about 1-2 years to start making more or less good money (at least according to my plans)

    How long did it take you to start making good bucks? Do you plan to start making right the way when you start new website

    I make -$6,000 so far :)

    after a few ten-thousand hours of work and a 6 digit us$ amount investment and about 6 full sets of HW

    BUT
    i never made any loss from very beginning
    all the business i ever started always have been in the + numbers from earliest months by keeping expenses LOW and creative/productive work HIGH

    it took me years to start making money.. many hours of work but finally find out how to make money on the internet :) and now when I know I'm too lazy to make it bigger :D

    Right now I only make about $800 a month net but that's because I've got to get that lovely thing called "automation" into my life.

    Once my husband gets that going for me then I can take off and actually have the time to dothe SEO that I've learned over the years.

    Right now I basically just read about it from you guys and the good peeps at high rankings. Ahh, to actually have the time to do it... :rolleyes:

    Depending on what you are doing online. A repeat customer is the key. If you have to find new customers constantly then it is hard to grow the business. And also very expensive.

    The key to most businesses is to have a strong growing customer base and then try over time to build on it.

    Make sure the experience is better than if they went to a competitor that way they will always come back.

    I have low traffic stats compared to many other online businesses but a heap of my customers come from word of mouth. So I know then that the service and experience that they are getting is a good one.

    By the way my online business grows at 20% per month.

    It took me about 4-months to start making what i consider decent money.. Now it's been about 11 months and I'm earning great money..

    I had plans of building more sites and an entire internet empire - but I find that I spend so much time on my main site, I just cant make the time for anything new.. Next step: quit my job and go fulltime...

    I think soccerfriend that you are too optimistic. Or you are developing site for next soccer championship ? ;). I still don't earn good money from Internet and probably never will :)

    Automation really save your time, isn't it?

    It took a year for me to mastering PHP and researching good bussiness opportunity. My latest sites give me $1500 net on it's first two months with 1 hour of my time daily.

    Internet is a good place to GROW your money, not to EARN you money.

    If you start your internet bussiness with very limited budget, it would take some time to get good amount of money.

    But if you have good budget for your biz, money will come in short time.

    It will totally depend on what you have been doing previously...
    If you have "experience" in internet marketing, you can expect your project to make money from probably the first day. (Send an announcement to your email subscribers!!! ;) )
    I assumed that an "experienced" marketer will have an email list.
    Earnings will depend on how large the reader base is, how trusted they think you are, how useful the product is and so on___

    If you are fairly new, which doesn't seem to be the case here, you can expect a delay before the website picks up with advertising, SEO and other stuff...
