Please share your experience with a keyword tool you've used. Below I've listed all the keyword tools I've used to rank for long tail keywords and had success with.

    Keyword Research Tools I've Used

AnswerThePublic – I use this to discover what people are asking about and get instant, raw search insights, direct from the minds of customers. ( great for finding long tail keywords )

Jaaxy – I curreent use Jaaxy Lite and research platform that was developed by affiliate marketers for affiliate marketers.

LongTailPro – This has keyword competitiveness score to determine the difficulty of ranking different keywords in the top 10 Google results.

KeySearch – I've used this to find relevant, low competition keywords for your website, blog or business. ( I no longer use this tool )

For me, so far I've been using Moz. They have been helpful for me because I am just now starting out with my blog, and I am on a very limited budget with the times and they are free. You get 10 free keyword searches a month, and you can export a CSV of each list.

I've been able to make 9 posts so far using Moz, and pretty soon my site will start ranking in Google! :)

We've used Keyword Planner and we're happy with the results - and it's free! But if you have a good budget for an seo tool, I would suggest Moz Pro.

My favourite Keyword Research Tool for tracking and researching keyword is Rank Tracker by Link Assistant. SEO Powersuite is by far the best all in one platform I have used.

Same here. The only downside to that one is that you have to have an google ads account already. However there are plenty good promo's for getting started with it around....

However as always its down to how you use it. If you just go with the first suggestions you get, then chances are you are doing the same thing as everyone else.
If you use it to find out what the others are doing and try to figure out nieches/keywords that others are missing -> then it can be very good...
