I bought the domain name myhugedirectory.com. I want to use a free script because I'm on a very low budget. I uploaded ADP to it now, but looking for alternatives. Any suggestions?

I was about to ask the same question. I've seen a lot of avatars of site-sift lately, and he has also a free script.

Is it a good one? I didn't see you talking about it in this post.

PhpLD is the most popular script, which goes some way to explaining why it gets the most advocates - it's also the best known. There are also free versions of Indexscript, Esyndicat, the Snowblind directory script, and now PhpLynx. All of them have slightly different features, so I suggest you look them up for comparison, as well as the Site-Sift script.

Which one is best for you will depend on what you want most out of the script - ease of use and installation, lots of skins, mods, spam-busting, or something else.

    Hi,
Give eSyndicat a try.. Note when you use script you should take in account many things. Support, development speed, code quality, templates, etc. So you decide what software to use.

Thanks for your input. I think I will go with the PHPld as well. I want something easy to use (I'm not technical... Don't like headaches). So I think a good community support will be better.

I want to have easy moderation panel as well.

Yeah, good work on the directory ;) If you get a spare $30 though you should invest in the v3. It's really good, and you get to support the guys that wrote the script :)
