Speed testing for SEO

For years I have been using https://tools.pingdom.com/ to get a quick estimate of page load times. The figures seem to match my subjective experience.

I've recently been trying Google PageSpeed Insights (https://pagespeed.web.dev/). The results it gives are radically different from Pingdom. There are reporting MUCH longer load times, and the times they report far exceed my informal stopwatch tests.

My initial reaction is that the Google tool is flat out garbage - but that seems unlikely.

Am I missing something?

 

I just finished a speed test on my site and under :

Avoid URL redirects: I received an F and a grade of 50
Make fewer HTTP requests: I received and F and a grade of 36
Response codes:
301 - moved permanently : 3
302 - Found : 2
What does all this mean?

 

301 means page redirect permanently to new address .... For example your old page name is great-SEO-Optimization-service.html but your realize that page name is not good and now you change name to seo-services.html ... So you can do this by redirect old page to new one ...... By this way you will not loose page juice and authority. 301 error code let search engine's bots that this page is redirect permanently to another one.

302 error is server error ... if your redirection not working properly

 

First of all, is pingdom.com close to accurate? Second, can you tell exactly what this site is doing based on the stats that I showed you here?

 

According to me there are not a single tool who will give you 100% result ..... Pingdom is looking good but i am not satisfied with given details / results .... You should choose GTMETRIX if you want to see your website performance in details.
