Are you confident you could kill someone in a self defense situation or would you become a statistic. TBH im not sure i would react fast enough, too many thoughts would be racing through my mind

Absolutely not. If that ever happens they'll have no problem taking down a middle-aged women with no self-defense skills. When I'm in NZ there is a greater probability of winning a lottery than being in that situation. When I'm travelling, I'm not so confident.

Such thoughts have come to me, but it all depends on the situation. If I or my family is in danger, I am ready to do anything to make things safe or to create safety. Everything is relative to the situation, and there are different situations. So the consequences can be different.

That's what training is for. Make it muscle memory then you don't need to think. Just let your body react.

Its amazing what you can learn in as little as 1 hr per week. But then again it all depends on what you want.

Also no need to go as far as Killing the other person. All you need do is disable them for enough time to let you get away. A swift kick to the knee or the groin ought to do the trick. But I'm straying off thread now :)

Basically, I'm not the type of person who kills someone but it depends on the circumstance and the best possible way to escape from the dangerous situation.

You can't always take the situation into your own hands. Sometimes the mind fails to signal a strategy to disarm the abuser. It happens all of a sudden, usually
