    I've been a long-time user of the forum, but I've been out of the Internet marketing industry for a while. Recently, I developed software targeted at IM. I'd like to offer it for free here to gather feedback. Is it allowed to post such a thread on the forum, and if so, in which section should I post it? Thanks.

    You have a few options
    • ask for a review if you genuinely want feedback, you may have to give some free accounts.
      People have done this and then fought when opinions are offered - that makes their review request seem insincere and spammy. Don't be like them.
    • get "established" and use your signature to promote your software
    • get "established" and offer your software in our Buy/Sell/Trade section
    • promote it in the marketplace
