I can't index articles on Google

Despite adding my site to Google Analytics, creating a sitemap, and linking it to all webmaster tools, and even though I am driving traffic from social media, most of my articles do not appear in Google Search, even after a month.

Sometimes it takes a bit longer for Google to catch up, especially if you’re in a competitive niche. Maybe tweaking your content or focusing on SEO might help.

1) The quality of the pages should meet google's requirements.
2) Try services to speed up indexing. Sometimes it works well. For example, Riseindexing or Addtoindex. But there are others, although I can't recommend all of them.
3) Another thing you can try is using Google indexing api. It helps in some situations, but not all. Rumor has it that it's only used for message boards and merchandise. Maybe that's why google can impose hidden flags. So think about it. I just gave you some options.

 

Did you try site:somesite.com ?

I've noticed this with my sites: all of them are indexed, but just a handful of links are actually appearing in search results. However if I go to site:somesite.com I'd say 80% of the links are indexed.

 

Search bots can go to all the pages, but not all of them will show up in the search. There are special plugins and scripts for tracking bots on the site. I have heard about the site:somesite.com method. I think it gives the wrong picture.

 

Google can be super slow with indexing sometimes. Try manually submitting your pages through Google Search Console (URL Inspection Tool). Also, check for any technical issues like noindex meta tags or blocks in robots.txt

 

Interesting! Have you tested Riseindexing or Addtoindex yourself? How effective are they in real cases? Also, does the Indexing API actually work for regular articles, or is it more of a myth?

 

I use Riseindexing. It brings in a strong google bot. Check out the information on their site. I just don't want to spam links here. Indexing api for articles can work, but there are risks of flying out of the index in the future. So it depends on what cases. In general, test it.

Take into account that Google only indexes what it likes. Therefore, forcing it to do so is not always possible.

 

Have you checked if your pages are indexed using site:yourwebsite.com on Google? Sometimes, submitting URLs manually in Google Search Console can speed things up. Also, make sure your content is unique and optimized for SEO.
