    Hey guys,

    I am new to these forums, and am looking for some advice. I am looking to start making some money online, and I have been leaning towards the ecommerce end of it - ebay specifically. Now I know that nowadays it's hard to make money consistently on ebay, and I have experimented here and there to see what works, but haven't found anything steady. I have also always wondered about those sites that allow you to be a reseller of goods, but have always been too suspicious to try them out.

    Is there anyone here that does this type of business online, and is successful? I would love to get some pointers and tips from those who do make money online on how to get started.

    -Thanks!

    I would suggest you go to http://www.worldwidebrands.com and read their free (40 something page I think) ebook. Very insightful and will answer all your questions plus some. Good luck.

    No problem. It helped me out a lot when I was looking at getting into drop shipping.

    Actually decided not to get into dropshipping. The margins were to low with too much competition.

    That is exactly the reason why I have never started it, I always thought that it is such a saturated market, that it must be hard to make any money in it.

    I disagree, but that's your opinion. It might be "harder," but I dont think it's hard. Depends of course if you are talking about making $1 or $1,000,000.

    I disagree also, it is not hard. You just have to have the time to devote to searching for a niche, or different way to generate revenue! In my case though, I always tend to follow other people, therefore I don't make a lot of $$$$.

    Right. Either find a niche or something new.

    Having the time to do something is the key here. If you work all day or have other commitments it's difficult to earn a lot.

    Yes, you do need time, but money can save this problem. If you get the money, you can pay others to do the work for you, and just wait for the results.

    Example: You know that the learn spanish niche is hot and that there is a lot of money to win.

    You do the keyword research (one day or two), you pay a freelancer to design a site, a logo, you pay someone to write keyword optimized articles, you optimize your site (SEO).

    You pay someone to write articles and distribute to directories. you pay someone to post in forums for you...

    You don't spend time, and next month, you can go on a second project while the first project is starting to making money.

    If you don't have money, work on one project at a time until it makes money. all that you need is time and focus. You have all the tools you need to succeed on the Internet for free.

    You want quick cash this week? Head on the buy/sell section and offer to write on a subject you are passionate about.

    If someone has a website related to your hobby, he will surely buy your articles.

    The most difficult is to find Where to start:

    * Blogging for money
    * Services (freelance)
    * Creating your products
    * Selling other people's products (affiliate marketing)
    * ebay
    * .....

    there are hundreds of opportunities to make money online, it's up to you.

    Do what you like, and money will follow.
