What should I charge for this?

The website I have been thinking of makeing is a website where you subscribe and pay a fee per month, and then are able to download my collection of movies via FTP.

How much should I charge for the subscription? Also where could I find a script that can add FTP accounts after payment and remove them if a recurring payment does not happen.

Ekkk, sounds like major legal troubles waiting to happen. Do you have the rights to distribute the movies?

I started to think about that. How can i get that? Is it like music where you pay royalties or is it just not possible.

No problem. You could always do the service if the videos were your own.

Fansubs and whatnot do it through BT. And many just link to them so they're safe.

Ouch, that hurts alot of companies. Time for them to look for another loophole.

I agree. Instead of trying to find a loophole, find a new industry or invest that time into thinking of a unique website idea.

I didn't say I was looking for a loophole. I am still looking for a new idea.

you might be able to get away with this if your server is on some random island that no one can get to.

So what you are saying is, you wanted to offer rips of movies online and people would have to pay you to be able to download them, all of that without you paying anything to the creators of the material?

WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!

Did you really ever think that could be legal? :p You could probably get away with this if you lived in a country like Russia though. :p

Edit: oh look the guy above me already suggested that lol
