Toronto is great if you love freezing cold. :D

When I was working in Toronto we would pass by homeless people living on the streets downtown. They would just lay there all wrapped in cardboard and newspapers while thousands of morning commuters passed them by on their way to work.

Toronto must be great, or else the homeless people would move somewhere warmer, No?

The UK's tax rate of 40% is still below Australia's 47% rate. :D

There are lots of different Tax’s in the UK ... council tax, congestion charges, car and insurance taxes, ground rent, inheritances tax. Basically if the Government can make more money by taxing something, they will.

Now the government wants to start charging home owners with double glazed windows more than those without!!!! Basically the more you add to your home to make it a decent place to live the more the Government is going to tax you – How ridiculous is that?!?!?!

Also they are going to start putting microchips on rubbish bins so if a household goes over a certain weight in rubbish the council will charge you more for it! :(

That must cause the Green Party coniption fits. The Green Party ordinarily loves taxes, regulation, and government -- but this regulation for a new government tax will prevent people from making their homes energy efficient.

Well I didnt pay nearly that much in New Zealand, and I assume the tax rate is fairly similar.
I know the cost of living is.

Kuching - its in the middle of the Borneo Island...and the serenity tranquility and natural beauties are out of the world. Except the humidity ( its 99% - 100% almost all the time )...makes me sweat like a pig on a suny day.

Most European countries have high tax rates because of the Social security system being used. If you think London is bad you really must see countries like Finland, Norway, etc…. You pay a lot of taxes but at least the government protects supports you when you need it.

    London Sucks
Zone 1 is nice but the rest is a waste of space.
There are a load of nice places in London but there is so much crap in between.
