I got a MySpace Whore Button to WORK!

    Hey guys. If you hadn't noticed, MySpace recently put in a "hash" at the end of bulletin posting URLs that made it impossible to make a "whore me" button that redirected directly to the text input box of the bulletin posting.

    This was a severe challenge because as you can see from this thread, this type of MySpace marketing was PROFOUNDLY profitable. Like "oh my God I just pissed my pants" profitable.

    Unfortunately, I got there too late. But today I was on MySpace when my friend sent me a bulletin with a "whore me" button that did just this....I ripped the code and from what I have tried, it works.

    But I still don't know if any parts of it are dynamic because 4 of my friends tonight had the SAME hash. Odd. And this worked for all of them, but I'm wondering if it used some sort of referrer capturing technique. I don't think so though.

    Anyway, here is the code....try it out, and LET ME KNOW HOW IT WORKS.

    <form name="bulletinForm" action="http://mail.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=bulletin.edit" method="POST" target="_self">
    <input type="hidden" name="groupID" value="0">
    <input type="hidden" name="hashcode" value="MHsGCisGAQQBgjdYA8igbTBrBgorBgEEAYI3WAMBoF0wWwIDAgABAgJmAwICAMAECMDZad0h0zS3BBBjEFtHHZcIPZ22xHDNx80PBDB/bOdbTVXoblD/iQi1aMqvh//wZuk7RhaHgFKCy/h6bH0MSkrfs7r9H1gdk0fA69k=">
    <input type="hidden" name="hash" value="6308J150O169O160O160O153O168O157O162">
    <div style="visibility:hidden;display:none;">
    <input type="hidden" name="subject" value="sdsdad" size="1">
    <textarea name="body" type="hidden" style="width: 0px; height: 0px;">heyyyyyy man, just checkin in! LOLOL</textarea>
    </div>
    <input type="submit" value="CLICK HERE TO POST A BULLETIN!">
    Code (markup):
    Have fun with it and I hope it works wonders for you.

    So all they have to do is click on the link and they automatically send a bulletin?

    No, not quite. That is a despicably black hat tactic and I would never endorse it. They click on the link and it takes them to the bulletin post form WITH whatever you want written already in it. All they have to do is click confirm.

    This is the technique that the original thread describes. It's perfectly legal, albeit that MySpace blocked this feature for whatever reason. But that's why I'm posting this script...

    Read that original thread, you'll understand the whole situation better. :)

    It doesn't work ;).

    On the confirm page where you click "Post Bulletin" it just stalls for me! :(

    Thanks

    It just never loads.

    I click "post bulletin" and it just stays there and never posts anything.

    I tried FireFox and IE.

    Thanks

    You mean on the bulletin confirm page? That's myspace's problem. I just tested it and it works fine. It was a bit slow though, maybe that's the problem?

    By the way....I just realized that this method isn't as efficient as going straight to bulletin.confirm, but that still doesn't work. :/ So this isn't as much of a breakthrough as I thought, but I'm going to keep working on it.

    same here.....
    It directs me to a page with a bunch of bulletins I've never seen.
    No confirmation page or anything, and certainly not my bulletin posting anywhere to be found.

    Actually this would iis the proper way to have friends post your bulletin. It's not really "Black Hat" as long as they see exactly what they are posting for you and can make a concious decision on whther they want to post it to their friends.

    Okay, but what about the people who didn't?

    There's nothing wrong with giving information to people. As a matter of fact, I bet a majority of people didn't know about this, though you may have because you run a myspace site.

    It's a relatively new fix I think, as it implements the hash.

    Hey, it works great.

    And how would he know if "a lot of us have known about this." when he only has 12 posts and he joined in December...
