This is my first real go at aggressively building an entertainment site for income and have gone through a number of changes as far as ad placement is concerned. I've increased my CTR from ~1% to ~3-4%, but I'm still not overly impressed with the pay per click rate I'm getting. I know that's not easily controllable, and 3-4% CTR isn't terrible (I think), but I'm still pretty new to this so I appreciate input.

Note that the ad placement changes markably when you're viewing a media, so click on any media to see the difference.

The 125x125 button on the left menu goes away when you leave the homepage, and I'm getting pretty terrible CTR on it, but it's only been a few days since it was added.

Oh, and any other general reviews or concerns are greatly appreciated. I know I have some weird issues with the site displaying correctly in Safari and even Firefox sometimes, but I can only test on a few different computers.

    Thanks

Nice implementation.. but i think its better if you put the ad in between the video boxes for the first three boxes. I think it will increase the ctr. Just my op.

The key here is to experiment it a bit. try untill you get the best ctr. and stick with it. And if your ctr sudently drop. change again. it is because your visitor might have memorized the add and their left brain tell them not to click. and again...it just my opinion.

Thanks, if you're talking about the link unit, I was thinking the same thing. I need to create a different channel for the link unit on the mainpage to see if anyone is even clicking it lol. I know people are clicking on the media pages, it's almost hard not to. I'll create a new channel and scope it out tomorrow. I was thinking of putting it after the first media at the top

Ok, I made a slight change to the right column replacing my 250x250 with a 160x600 and added 2 pictures of different heights to the right. I don't believe the images look like they're part of the ads since they don't line up with the text and are much greater in size than one context ad. But I'd like to hear from you guys on if it'll fly
