How could you favor marty (the career loser) over belichick? I certainly didn't. Tomlinson was way to overhyped and rivers didn't throw anything. Both teams played horrible.

The colt's don't have the coming weekend locked, but they certainly have a good shot. I really can't see the saints or the bears beating either the pats/colts.... winner of pats/colts wins it all.

31 touchdowns is overhyped? Marty isn't a career loser. He's one of 5 coaches who has amassed 200 career wins. Is that a career loser? Not getting it done in the playoffs doesn't make one a loser. Don't be so dramatic.

Yes. Just like payton's record 48 (or whatever number) of touchdown passes. What did it amount to? Notta, zippo, zero.

Yeh the coach with the most wins to never reach a superbowl. He's been coaching for 28 years with NO SUPERBOWL GAMES. Did he even win a single playoff game during all 10 of those years with the cheifs?

Ok - maybe I have a bias against marty since he could never seem to get anything done in KC... but he still can't win a playoff game with the best record in the NFL and the league MVP :D

Well now that we are down to just 4 teams, I thought I might break down how I expect the rest of the NFL Playoffs to go.

-I think the Saints will beat the Bears, due to the fact that Rex Grossman is such an inconsistent quarterback who keeps thinking he is doing great. The Bears defense alone can not take them to the SuperBowl, unfortunately.

-On the other hand, I think we all saw today the true PLAYOFF Patriots and the immense poise they play with, at this level they are practically unbeatable. Though I think the Colts will put up a good fight they will come up short due to Peyton Manning doing nothing in the Playoffs this year(as last year and the year before that) and the Colts team has won two games with him playing that way, but they won't be able to get by the Pats. Therefore expect Tom Brady to come out and shine like a star and lead his team to their fourth Super Bowl.

    SuperBowl:
-Though the Saints are a great team I just can't go against the Pats. I am gonna take the Pats over New Orleans for their 4th Championship win in 5 years.

Let me know what you guys think.

    Westoff.

I think you make some good points.

Hard to argue that the Pats are now 'well on their way'. If anyone has had Peyton's #, it would be them!

    Wait, yo I'm confused:
Does scoring a lot and being the regular season MVP matter or not? You are back and forth on this here ;)

How many coaches during that 28 year span won a superbowl? Gimme a % of coaches who won one? 2% 3%? Not winning a superbowl doesn't make you a loser. He's a good coach. Can't win the big games, perhaps, but definitely not a loser.

Yes, he did win some playoff games with the chiefs. 4 or 5 different years, I think. Broncos, Raiders or someone else always ended up beating him though. It happens. Philly can't win in the playoffs either. Doesn't make Reid a loser.

Lots of really good coaches (and players) never win a superbowl. It doesn't define their career as a loser; just like winning a superbowl doesn't instantly make you a great coach.

The bears better not win... rex grossman is the most aweful QB in NFL... they don't deserve a superbowl with that level of incompetence leading the team.

That's a joke right? Did you actually watch the game sunday? The patriots played horrible, especially 2 INT brady... they were damn lucky the chargers were being coached by marty and sleeping the entire second half of the game...

    1. This game is in Indy, where they are undefeated at home.
    2. The colts already beat the pats once this year.
    3. The colts defense has shown MAJOR improvement the last 2 games

It's going to be a fairly even game. These teams play each other alot. If manning comes out playing like we all know he can and have been waiting for, for years, the pats will go home losers... if manning comes out and plays sloppy we all know what happens.

grossman has been jeckyl and HIDE!!!!

    what was the graphic...~ 6 games with 100+ QB rating, 4 games with < 40 and one @ 0

    something like that.

if he gets a few good completions early watch out!

Grossman looked pretty good against the Seahawks. As long as he stays decent, the Bears have a good shot. If not, they have Greise, who is more than adequate to fill in if needed.

    1. Yea the game is in Indy, unforutnately that's the only plus point.
    2. The Colts did beat the Pats this year, but you forgot that Peyton Manning in the playoffs for some reason is not the same quarterback that we see in the regular season.
    3. Yes, the Colts defense has shown improvement, but against the Chief and the Ravens, this time they are playing Tom Brady and the Pats who are far better than the Ravens and Chiefs when it comes to the playoffs.

Even if Manning doesn't play sloppy in the playoffs for the first time in his career, don't forget Tom Brady has only played sloppy twice his whole career in the playoffs. O by the way, Brady is 12-1 career for the postseason win percantage, the best in history! :p

I agree for 100%. Brady is the QB you do want to have during the post season. This guy can handle pressure, history speaks by itself. Brady is playing much better during playoffs. On the other hand Manning doesnt show the consistency in the playoffs.
It will be a good game to watch, i hope patriots gonna win!
    Go Patriots!!!!!:D

    Hello everyone,

westoff and timsdd - I agree with you on the Pats and the Saints, with the Pats winning, probably a close game (maybe similar to when the Pats beat the Rams and the Panthers, by about 3 to maybe 7 points, over the Saints.)

Take care and have a great day!

    Sincerely,

    Joe Chengery III

After a hard hard couple of days I am glad to see my eagle fans (timsdd and others)had such good things to say.. Well here is my two cents on this weeks games.

Colts have look horrible in the playoffs but yet they are still there. Where is the justice in that. They will be going down this weekened. You just can't bet on manning when it comes to playing new england in the playoffs. Plus have anyone seen Marvin Harrison?

Saints.. um.um. I know would be the best story of the year, but I hate happing ending so I hope they go down. but in my gut i know its not going to happen.

Superbowl will be patriots and who ever..( i hate them both)

I think a lot of people are saying 'anyone but the Pats' just b/c they have been there like 9 times in the past 5 years. :D

I think colts/saints would make a great matchup - fun game to watch for sure
