$2000 per month goal - Need help with something

Hey everyone, I am just running some numbers through my head and I need your help.

My goal is $2000 per month - Can be adsense and/or Link sales

I plan to have 25 websites with a pagerank of 3 or more. I plan to sell 10 links on each page for 10$ per month.

Now, how much would it cost to buy a site that makes 30 to 40$ per month?

I plan to buy a couple of them.

Another great way to make money is through affiliate links. You might want to sign up with clickbank if you haven't already. Best of wishes towards you.

 

Most sites will sell for content, then on top of that the total annual income. Sometimes thought the sites will sell for 2-3 times the annual income based on the potential the site has.

Also, don't forget that if you're selling text links and using a broker like
TextLinkAds, they will take a cut of the money. $10 a month on TLA
very quickly becomes $5 a month. Adbrite is 70/30 I think.

 

Given my little plan here, what do you all think is the best way to make $2000 per month?

Most sites on dp here that I see sell that make minimum income (less than $50 a month) Go for about 8-12x monthly revenue max. Some sites like that sell for even 4-6x Revenue.

 

1. Buy a pr3-4+ site that makes $30-40 a month from ads for $200-400.
2. Improve the ad placement and theme.
3. Sell 10-15 text links on it for $10 a month each.
4. Add a products page with affiliate links out to other products.
5. Maybe add your own product to the site.

Lets review. You buy a site making $40 a month for $400. Now you are making $40 a month from ads. I've seen blogs that increased revenue by literary 11x (lets say you make twice what you were making with ads through affiliates.) Now you are making $120 a month from it. You decide to sell 15 links for $10 a month (which is fair price for a pr4 or pr5), lets say you only sell 8 links. You are now making $200 a month from it. Now the site you bought that was worth $400 is now worth $2500. Do this 10 times and you will generate 2k a month. Any comments?

I think you have a great plan going. Mine is about the same as yours but I'm going about it a different way. By the end of 2007 I'll have around 250-500 great quality sites like the one's you want to purchase but the way i am doing it is developing them myself and funding the domain purchase buy building sites and doing design work and selling them which gives me the cash to buy many other domains to develop and put into my collection. Mine will be link sales and adsense I figure that by having each site make a few clicks a day the network will do quite well. It just takes time so don't get frustrated, just keep going. I hope it works out well for you and you get to your goal and then surpass it!

From what I have herad, you can calculate the cost of a site, by finding out how much it earns - on average - in one year. Eg, if you want to buy a site that earns $40 per month, you need to be prepared to spend nearly $500.
