Sup all? Who wants to form a digg alliance with me. I figure if we can get a few hundred people or more we can help each other out. WE can all digg each others stories which in turn will put us at the top of diggs site. Im thinking we need at least 300 people in this alliance if not more. More the better. PM me if you are interested. I will add your name to the list then we will coordinate and get things moving. i think this cold be big!! Hit me up. Later!!!

this sort of thing will get you banned from digg.com

It sounds like a great idea, but digg really don't like that sort of thing which is a shame.

This sort of stuff already exists like http://www.friendlyvote.com but many has been banned already.

Why not focus on writing good content? Anyhow, my theory behind digg is biased because I honestly believe top 100 people at Digg controls 80 of the front page story. No matter how good your story is, you will not get it unless you get the attention of one of those top 100 diggers.

digg is a "boys club". It was in the past a free system, but now is like policy, a club of people that just control and do whatever they want.

So, you're saying it's corrupt or what?

Are you saying it IS worth trying to form an alliance or not?

I would be down for joining an alliance, but I wouldn't 'digg' someone's site if it were junk. It'd have to be something I thought was at least kinda cool.

Lets say if you had 1000 people at your disposal. What sites would you have them hit up to promote your site? Digg? TopVOting sites? etc!

Good question. I want to get some serious answers on this. What are some top voting sites? Is anyone getting real hits from any voting sites?

I think the best way to do this is to use the 'friends' function on Digg. The key is to get plenty of friends that will periodically go to their "friends' accounts" and vote for whatever stories they have submitted. This way, no one gets hurt/banned.

Other sites that are great for traffic are Reddit, Netscape and Shoutwire

digg won't tolerate any site promotional strategies, especially an alliance. It mainly focuses on sharing and surfing. I think that's why it bans anyone that they think is promoting their own sites.

digg has a way of tracking these strategies, just like craigslist

I can see D*gg's point. They want their front page to contain quality material that most readers will enjoy. How some of the top users find stuff is beyond me.

For example, the following post from my site just got submitted by D*gg's #2 user:
Silly Japanese Air Force Training (the picture is actually real!)

I'm certainly happy he submitted it though! No idea if it will make front page, so if you really like it ... ;)

    Smiles,
    Anita :)

Since Digg doesn't allow these sort of things, why not try Deli.ci.ous or Reddit? Do they let stuff like this slide? Is it allowed at either of those locations? What about StumbleUpon?
