Do you think you can get rich by selling Links?!

I was just thinking a few days ago , that if i will develop only 20 websites and will sell links at only 20$/year there (that's a very cheap price) Then i will get:
***let's say i will sell 10 ads spots on every of them.

    20 * 10 * 20 = 200 * 20 = 4000$
If i will develop 20 new sites for every PR update, i can get around 16 000$$ extra income yearly :D

Running 100+ websites is absolutely fine unless you get to upgrade them to the latest software versions they're using and all...

Yeah, I supposed it could be done, but I'd want to be really careful so I don't have to update 100+ sites at once if I need to change something.

I'm thinking, though, that Adsense should provide well over $200 per site a year... maybe not if it has 0 traffic, but will someone pay $20 to put a link on a site with 0 traffic?

    Interesting....

So I'm guessing you would set up about 20 sites and focus on high-quality to get their PR up, and then once they're established, link from those 20 to the new sites? I know it's not easy to just *get* a PR6 site.

There is no point talking about it. Do it and let us know how it works out. How do you plan to get the PR4+ for all these sites? If you pay for links then this will cut into your profits. If you spam then Google might catchon and you will never get PR. Still, I am curious if you can pull this off. Good luck!

Agreed. I was skeptical at first but it could work - with some effort. Good luck :D

    Like automated blogs? :)

I guess your aim is possible but i think you should not go that direction by aiming to earn money by selling links. So concantrate on quality, money will always come at the end.

In my opinion, the safest way is:

    1. Create content sites on general niches, obtain high pagerank with them.
While doing this you will also learn small secrets of that niche (like where to obtain backlinks).

    2. Develop long-tail sites with few content items but on topic.

    3. Get backlinks from your established site to these long-tail sites.

    4. Add CPC ads and sell link on those long-tail sites.

So this plan will require at least 10-15 months per niche (you can develop niches in parallel!) depending on your budget but this is the safest way, from the viewpoint of search engines and in terms of not putting all eggs in the same pocket.

it's not all that easy, and 20+ sites will cost you some morey.
    say $40 a site, atleast.
i make $40 sites, including hosting and making.

so, it's not all that cheap after all.

    $40/site at least?
    Nope!
A domain costs $7.95/year on namecheap
A host package on hostgator is $9.95/mo*12mo's=$119.4

$7.95*40+$119.4=$437.4 .That's all you need to spend in a year.

it really deponds where you get the site on, right.
get 10mb space and domain in $30, which i sell. install wordpress and get it coustomised in $10, so $40 is sufficient for this kind of site. right. then you earn a lot from it:cool: .
