Would you pay $20 for a link in 1000 new directories? Each directory would be unique text wise.

Yes, No, Depends? If it depends, on what?

    Cheers

    I wouldn't.

The reason is the google penalty for getting so many links in so little time.

Where will these 1000 directories be hosted?

If all are on the same 5-10 IPs , I am not paying a cent.

I probably would, depends on circumstances though, as sachin said.. pointless if there all on the same IP. Alot of new directories accept anything anyways, so viagra links here we go :p

Remember that directories dont usually approve you right away, You would probably get accepted like in a month and so on by each directory so it would not be too many links in a short amount of time. :D

These would be our directories so we can do it however we want. Timing them out is no problem.

It depends on how many unique C class IP's they are spread over, how many other links are on the page, and pagerank (not so much, it's only $20)

Couldnt have said it better myself. If it were a giant network of directories.. say... located in several different continents (Servers) with a great IP spread.. I'd buy for $20.

Are any of the directories indexed? Do they even have a single backlink?

I don't think the c-block IP theory even matters anymore. They would have to be registered under different names, through different registrars and all be on different servers. And, the links would need to go up sporadically over the course of a year or two.

I agree with jestep, each one would have to be completely different in terms of registration and appearance of links. design/structure would have to be different as well, url structure etc.

You could probably get a thousand people to go for it, as $20 isn't much for a 'what the hell' on a new site, but the cost of seperate hosting,IPs and yearly domain registration would take a big bite out of that.

Find a good site within your niche with a PR6 and good traffic. Put a link there to your site with $20-$60, and you'll see a very good benefit from that.
