How to launch my software product?

I am new in worldwide software sale...
My software product is an order system for hotels, cafes and bars.

you can start with pre-launch page. let's people know what is your software all about. maybe put some demo on. your customer have to give an trial.

You can also use this opportunity to build a nice list of testimonials, people who will be interested in buying and people who will be interested in promoting your product!

the best way is to try and get a official webpage for your software .. then try and place it on google ... once it is on google it will get popular

Well, as a developer, I would say the most important thing for the start is to get your program known. It probably helps to add a signature in your post with the link to your site.

Then the other thing is to get your software listed on as many shareware repository sites and search engines as far as possible. Most offers free listing but some are paying. Try http://www.tucows.com and http://www.upload.com for the start.

For me, I use a program like RoboSoft http://robosoft.rudenko.com/ to do the submission. Basically, all I need to do is to PadGen http://www.padgen.org/ to generate a PAD File to be used with RoboSoft. There are other submission program but this is the one which I have experience with.

Be responsive to your customers especially when they provide comments or complains. They are your main source of income.

Your website does not really say much about your program and for a high ticket item, having a trial version would indeed help bring people your way. No one that I know would shell out hundreds of dollars for something that they do not know anything much about.

I see that you now provide a trial download which is great but .RAR is not the standard which people offering shareware trials are doing. It is either .ZIP, .MSI or .EXE . RAR is not common amongst the general public.

 

Well, I would suggest to go for press release about it before launching.

1)first thing you got to have joint venture (jv) with the people within your scope of business. you have to give a trial to your jv and then ask them to email to their lists about your products. just imagine if one of your jv has 10,000 list of name.

2) you have to setup a blog to update your activities or product info.
