A couple of questions

I have a couple of basic questions.

    1. How is siteground.com's hosting service? (their 4.95/mo plan)? (for hosting a proxy and more)

    2. Is it possible to have a multiple sites on a single hosting account with different domains (NOT subdomains)?

    3. As an adsense noob, what do you guys suggest which type of site should I go for. Personally, I am thinking about hosting a proxy.

    Thanks in advance.

    1. I would suggest HostGator. Have not used siteground before thou..

    2. Yes, it is possible with HostGator.

    3. Proxy and forums are difficult sites to achieve high revenues with Adsense. Use blog or general informative sites to gain best results.

As far as an adsense site.. create something you have a lot of knowledge and have somewhat of a passion for.. its than up to you to get quality traffic and visitors.

    Good Luck

You mean in general, or are there ad services which are good for proxy sites?

Secondly, what are these PR5 and PR6 domains and backlinks?

its not the ad services which are an issue here but its the proxy sites which dont make much revenue cause people dont stay over there for a long time and they visit it for a very specific reason and leave immediately once its done.

PR means Page Rank, it is accumulated with other sites with high PR linking back(back links) to you.

Well, I am with dreamhost and there is no limit on how many domains/subdomains you can have. Hosing a proxy is not forbidden, but proxies are CPU hogs and your site will be shut down in no time. You better look around (here on DP) and find a cheap solution for hosting your proxy.
As with AdSense site... This is quite simple. Find the niche that has a lot of advertisers and not too many high ranked sites, buy a bunch of PLR articles and build your own site. Do not forget to spend some time/money advertising it.

I dont' know about this one...

Ofcourse it is if you have reseller account.

    3. As an adsense noob, what do you guys suggest which type of site should I go for. Personally, I am thinking about hosting a proxy.

I think you should drop the proxy business too much competition...
Pick a niche that you like...

    Thanks in advance.

I think you need more than a cheap 5$ hosting plan for proxy.
Most ppl were saying get a dedicated server which can be like 70$ a month.

seem like most ur question had been answer here.
indeed there is many hosting provide unlimited domain to be hosted in 1 single plan. as we see, hostgator is popular, and most importantly first month for $0.01 only. :)

For 70$ a month you will be a good VPS, not a dedicated server. Those are in the range of 100$ plus.

    Hi, most of the dedicated I have seen are $100+, however I saw this site;

    http://www.vpsbyte.com/?a=dedicated_servers

does this mean their support is poor, lots of down time, or what?
    Why is it so cheap?
    thanks for the help.

Not necessarily. Those are the basic packages. The server is NOT managed - you will not get any assistance with anything, every reboot will cost you money, no control panel, etc, etc, etc.
