Adsense placed on every page?

What is the consensus on placing ads on every page within a site? I have heard some say that your audience would not approve, but if they are not excessive and fit on the page nicely, why not??

Currently, I have adsense on 25 0f my 41 pages.

if you used a template and inserted the code you would have it on every page. same with a theme for a cms.

It depends on what kind of site you have. If you have a site that is mostly search engine traffic and they only stay on your site for a few minutes it would be best to have ads on every page. If you have a site with members who keep coming back, I think it's best not to have them on every page. I think it cuts down on ad blindness. The users will avoid the part of the site where the ads are located thus giving you no/few clicks. That's just what I've noticed though.

I heard that it can negatively affect your acceptance into many directories and may look too cheesy for your audience.

That said, I have been placing codes on every...it just makes sense.

If those ads are there for a purpose I doubt any directory will refuse you. I have adsense pretty much on every page and the only directories that refuse my links are those that ask for money.
