    I'm launching a new website soon, and I am going to need more capital to get it off the ground. It's a business related site. What's the best way to raise money for it?

    Are you CERTAIN you really need to raise money? It comes at a big price & leads to lots of potentially negative issues. I would strongly encourage you to see if there is any way you can possibly do what you need to do on your own nickel.

    No. Even your mother would put strings on :)

    I've been down the high leverage road and find the lack of need for that one of the most valuable aspects of website publishing.

    Sure. Go find em. But you won't find them here with the info your posting. In order to get investors you could make em believe your idea is the next big one and so far you haven't said a word on that. No I am not asking for your business plan, just some brief things.

    Your best bet is to approach local people. Locals prefer to deal with locals.

    Well, I usually laugh at the people who say "Multi-million dollar idea! The next big thing! Act now!"

    I wasn't trying to come on strong to get advice... But should I be doing that?
