    Hi,

I want your suggessions regarding this.

Will people pay me for reading my blog. Am thinking of charging $12/year for reading my blog.

Tell me whether $12 is too much or less for a memeber ship site.

I will inreturn give free premium templates which i buy from another sites, and useful scrips, graphics and images and also contents and tips from various sources like other websites, paid ebooks e.t.c.

As a bonus I am planning to give them a free web hosting and domain name (.info) too.

Do you think that its a good idea?

Maybe but I dont think that people are ready to pay for reading articles from a blog. Isnt?

Also am thinking of giving a free trial too.

How about instead of charging for articles, you could give blog articles for free and then sell your own ebooks? Or perhaps sell access to "article archives". $12 per year sounds nothing to me if you have a valuable articles. On the other hand - if you provide no real value then $12 is wasted effort.

Then, why dont you add CPM, CPC and Inline ads in your blog. I guess you can earn much more with those methods without risking to lose your possible readers.

For one thing, don't think about what you are starting as a 'blog'. You are simply using the 'blog' platform to deliver your information.

That said... it all depends on your market. Some market pay and some do not.

It all boils down to market demand and value.

OK Thanks for your suggessions.. I have yet to make a decision regarding this... I think then its better to make the site free and see if it generates good ad revenue. But still I could provide hosting and domains. Let me see.

    minterest,

First off, you can try to make it free. Try to build a reader based first. Once you get, let say 100 loyal readers, you may start charging money from them.

If you start off with charging right away, I'm afraid people will be scared off and will not return.

Also you can run adsense if you have good blog and definitely you earn more than 12$ per person per year. It could be more than 50$ a day if you have done it right.

Yes I can offer free aceess to the blog at first but 2 cases are tehre:

People could make easy money from it by doing something... so after he gets some money or lears how to do he may either pay me for those info or he may not feeling that he can earn money using those tips alone...

Also I dont want to put Google ads in it due to security reasons.. i dont have that much impressions.. once i get some good traffic i will put google ads.

I launched the site http://www.world-wide-webmasters.com/ as a free site as well as a member site which means membership is needed to read some articles but going to give free membership to all so that if they are satisfied they can pay me.

I have done this as i dont want to open another site.

You can triple your members by opening it for free first. Then words will go around and more people will join in. Also, you can give the first hundred members a lifetime membership for free. Remember the magic word: FREE.
