Creating An Automated Blog

First of all, how is this done? Would I need special software or anything? (I dont know anything about this stuff, like even though I read wiki definition of RSS I'm still lost )
Secondly from where would I get the content? I can't just rip random blogs off.
Thirdly how does this improve your site? How does it screw your site?
Does anyone make money from automated blogs here? If so, how much a day?

I want to start a new site with a forum and blog, and in order to attract users, I would like to incorporate some blogs. That is why I am asking. I dont plan to rely on these blogs for $, just for attracting a few users every week. Is this realistic?

First if you plan on useing adsense this seems to be against terms. Now i am not sure if it is in the terms but i know blogger has same terms as adsense since google owns both. Blogger considers this as spam.

Second some sites offer script to do it some are free some you pay for.

Rss is on most any blog and tells rss feed sites you updated your site. Pinging does same thing.

You can pull headlines and other things like news and some sites even have feeds for free content.

Google does not want any site with adsense using it or blogger. They consider it as spam.

If your making site that is not for any google products fine but not sure how google search will deal with the sites. They seem to frown on them right now and probably will do something about them in next round of updates.

 

I advise you NOT to create an automated blog, there's now too many around and, which results in a LOT of problems. You're highly unlikely to earn any revenue, due to duplicate content etc. etc.

However, it is adsense legal.

beacuse as we know automatic blog is duplicate content. is duplicate content ok with adsense?
