Do all "real" webmasters have at least 1 porn site in their portfolio?

honestly to me owning an adult porn site is far from honest.
those things create addictions
breaks up familys. destroys lives.
impairs people

its not about quick money..
i was always taught its not quantity its quality.

so i took my choice of working hard for my money
the honest way where i can sleep at night know i helped someone
instead of knowing i caused something in someones life to be destroyed

 

Make money by the means which you think are justified.

I would not create a porn site. If you feel it's a good thing to do, go ahead.

In the end, it's your quality as a human that decides.

 

I do not manage a p+rn site, it's not "only" because of the moral thing .. but i think that there are enough dumb shitty p+rn sites out there. Enough sites without any security measure which can endanger our children.

 

I don't have any. Not that I'm necessarily morally opposed to it, but it just doesn't interest me. Also, there are a lot of legal things to worry about if you are in the U.S. You can't half-ass your paperwork or you might end up in jail.

 

my hosting company won't allow it...so I guess I am not a real webmaster...oh well...

 

I guess I am not a "real" webmaster..which is OK because I am really an internet marketer and there's a difference between the two. Was never tempted to open an adult site..helps that I'm actually female so I don't think about adult sites as much as my male friends would Just not something I'm comfortable with...But, if you want to, it's your prerogative. Just make sure you meet the legal requirements.

Umm, there is a site that consists of a single page.

A few years ago, the owner bought a Ferrari.
Not the cheap one for poseurs, the biggest meanest one.

Boatloads of traffic.

This is the normal case.

by all webmaster he meant, excluding the asians and few westerns(male and female, dont wanna piss off any1). Or mayb all the webmasters he knows have one.

Its more like counting the whole world and excluding 98% of them one by one, not a good SEO practice buddy, hehehehe

 

Addictions? Break up families? Destroying lives?

Please explain to me how a porn site does this to people. I can see being addicted to porn, but I've never heard of someone being so addicted to porn that it destroys their life.

You need to start watching the news buddy. CTV just did a big thing the other day about how it has ruined people's lives. It happens a lot more than most people think and it can be a lot more devastating than some people could imagine.

 

Just another example of how the media puts selling airtime ahead of truth.

 

I personally don't own any porn sites. but i know people that have been in that industry for years. And all you bashing the industry completely are doing so with blind judgement. Ya there is alot of corrupt terrible stuff going on. But there are plenty of people making sites with content made by preformers who really want to do that as their profession as opposed to some who are forced into it by financial woes.

 

KunkVentures, nobody is bashing the industry. We were just a little perturbed that someone would say we're not 'real webmasters' unless we own a porn site.

And Will, I've seen how addictions to porn can break up families first-hand...say what you will about the media, but this story is one that isn't told enough if you ask me. If it wasn't true, then why are there support groups and counseling available for porn addiction?

We have an excellent example right now in Indonesia where the local Islamists are protesting that the publisher of Playboy in Indonesia should be executed.

We're all naked under our clothes. The human body is not dirty or evil. Sexual desire is not evil, it's what has kept the species around for all of these millions of years.

Females are good to look at. Well, some of them are.
