Too many links? - need your input.

We are nearly ready to release our free Links Management Tool to DP members but I wanted to get some input and suggestions to see if we can make any last minute additions.

Basically, I have found it overwhelming to keep track of all my links on my webpages and wanted a tool that helps me out in this regards. My vision for the tool will be a complete hands off approach maybe with a bit of simple accounting thrown in.

Firstly, the tool's first phase launch will allow webmasters to manage their outbound links. It allows the webmaster to easily put sold, reciprocal or friendly links into link groups and auto notifies the webmaster when a link is near to expiring.

It also has broken links checking for reciprocals.

The tool will be available under BETA in a few days to selected webmasters. During these few days, I wanted to see if the great DP members could give me any more suggestions on what would be cool for such a tool so I can implement anything that requires structure changes before I release BETA.

Appreciate any help you can give on this.

 

i am very big on link exchange with other sites and am ALWAYS looking for tools which will help me manage this process, especially for a new site im just making, it would be great to test a new tool on a brand new website and see its outcome/effects, so if theres beta versions available, id love to try a copy out for you and provide you with my detailed feedback and suggestions.

 

Sure Swift, I'll make sure to send you a PM when we're ready. Is there anything in particular that would help you out that I could look into for adding to the tool?

For links exchange, our tool at the moment allows you to put a group of links into a links group. It'll allow you to set which URL the recip is to and can check if any of your recips are broken.

You also have an option to set a time limit on recips incase you need.

From the top of my head, I suppose a PR indicator maybe good for use on link exchanges so you can see quite quickly if the site you have exchanged to has raised or lowered their PR.....

For me an absolute must for the tool is some sort of PR meter, tools that dont have this i dont tend to use, so if you could include somthing like this that would be great. also maybe somthing that could show us how many out-bound links that particular site has?

 

Shouldnt be hard to do PR and out bounds, will do that after BETA is released as it doesnt affect the structure.

Might do a banned check for Sold, Recips and Friendly links... think that'll be a good idea incase a site you are linking to becomes banned.
