Yep I have, I've had a look around there (and link to it on my site). I'm not serving yet so I don't believe I'm allowed access. I should have enlisted by now if not for injury, but that is another story. But yeah, I'm doing it as a hobby, not to make money. Which is just as well because it isn't really a massive market, but I think the ads do pay fairly well when I look at some of the complaints on this site about 2c clicks - they average around 30 cents I'd say.

And I've just registered aussiearmy.org and sorted out the nameserver stuff, apparently I have 24-48 hours to wait until it starts working.

 

I don't like the color of the background, perhaps try a gloss effect.

 

That's a good sounding name. Especially with the .org in this case.

Me mindful of everything you say. And have a disclaimer page that outlines the purpose of the site and that it is no way affiliated with the Armed Services.

Even if you keep it kosher there may be some bored bureaucrat who takes issue with the site and starts threatening legal action. Not saying it will happen, but just that it might. I recently got in trouble for posting photos from my school from 21 years ago. I emailed my school for a copy of the old school emblem. I got strongly worded email back threatening legal action if I didn't take the page down within 24 hours (it took them 8 days to respond).

They didn't say what the problem actually was. As it turned out after phone calls to 4 different departments in the Department of Education and a few emails that there wasn't actually anything wrong with what I had done.

Just telling you that story so you know that there are people who think they have the best of intentions but end up doing it badly and even in a threatening way. Be sure that everything you post can not be used against you in a court of law

 

Just thought I'd check back and let you know it seems to be working. Most days used to turn out a grand revenue of US$0.00, so far today I've made US$1.61, yesterday I got US$0.94. Still, not much, but it ads up. US$26.08 so far.

 

You're getting there. Keep putting new content on your site, get people coming back.

the ads are really well blended look good - I think the way forward is to add more content and get more traffic : )
