    if you are installing a basic ms2.2 install you need the paypal ipn mod otherwise your customer detail can get lost, other than that just make sure you follow the install instructions to the letter.
    Give me shout if you need any help i have a lot of experience with oscommerce.

    If you're new to ecommerce and not too handy at web technologies, I suggest you stick w/ a hosted shopping cart solution. They all offer support and will take care for the backend, freeing you work on SEO, selling and gettign orders out the door.

    If you really want to do it yourself, take a long hard look at CubeCart.
