Margins on new laptops is usually pretty low. You're best off to find a suplier locally because the shipping can kill what margin you have.

The other options is to find a good dropshipper who will send them for you when you get an order.
Usually the margin is even less with this type of deal but you have alot less work to do so it can still be worth it.

The chances of finding what you might consider a "good" price is pretty low either way.

    Good luck,

I think your best bet would be to deal with used laptops. I know someone who does this and they seem to be doing pretty well. I find it hard to believe that yo could pick up laptops wholesale. If you do, you will probably be dealing with a middle man where the profit margin would be very slim.

When selling notebooks, ensure that the parties supplying you the notebooks, be it a distributor or the manufacturer, provides service support for the notebooks you sell or else you will end up having to bear the cost of repairs which will eat into your profits.

Maybe try another market? There is already unlimited competition selling electronics, you would have to deal with the likes of Amazon, Buy.com, newEgg, Best Buy, Dell, Gateway, Walmart, etc... who are most likely paying much lower wholesale prices than a small business.

As a small business to be established in selling electronics, be prepared to face unusual competition asside from the traditional one. Stolen laptops and such willtend to kill your prices, and your business if you don't have the right heads up.

What is your price point for these laptops and how many are you going to buy to start off with? You can try to work with companies like goldensurplus.com. Their site says they deal in volume pricing so obviously the larger the amount you purchase the better your profit margin. You can then resell on ebay and other online sources.

if i were u, and u were wanting to start in this industry, try contact the manufacturers and buy direct.

if not, ask them for wholesalers details nd buy from them.

Well yes you being in Romania is problem...here in US large companies often have auctions selling their old laptops and PC's in palletes...you need to find a company that buys at auctions and resells. My friend was in used laptop business so there are companies that sell used laptops in bulk. But probably your best bet is partner with a company that does drop ship, so you don't have to lock up your fund.

I also recommend u to get all indivisul parts and assemble, Get your own boxes done and sell in your own name. It will be a nice margin actually.

One of my asian friends in indonesia is in same practice. They can make a core2duo laptop complete in US$ 350, you can easily sell in US$400.

If the prices in your country really are inflated, you can always buy retail laptops in bulk, online. You could probably get a shipping discount for bulk purchases. You might find that their prices are low enough for you to make a profit.
Newegg is a large computer/tech online retailer. They seem to have some very low prices ;)
