    Hey folks,

I'm the new guy here. I just launched my new site last week and I'm very excited about my new venture. I've done an eCommerce site in the past but this is my first swing at a content/advertising model so I'd really like to get folks input on it.

The site is SportsNode.com. The home page does not have any AdSense on it (per ToS I believe as it does not have any content, just a selector and map to choose what city/team you'd like to view news for).

Here is an example of a content page that has AdSense and CJ affiliate ads on it:

    sportsnode.com/philly/eagles

Please let me know what you think.

I just redid my layout somewhat. I ditched the skyscraper on the right side and added 300px medium squares in what should be the heatmap "sweetspot".

Please let me know what you think good or bad.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jack

Maybe make the link color the same color as your site links.

    Done! Thanks for your feedback.

I was going to do that, but since I'm restricted to 3 ad blocks on a page, I put one after the first news source of each type (national news, local news, blogs). That way there will be ads above the fold for each section when users use the links on the nav menu to skip down to a given section.

My CTR is really pretty bad at the moment so any other suggestions would very much be appreciated :)
