LOL - oh, I am not adverse to drugs. I am to illegal drugs, but have just had surgery and welcomed 4 days of morphine high... lol. But only in the right circumstance. Not just to get high for the sake of it - or because someone says that it's the latest thing to cure cancer.

So are you the type of person who would want a sick person to go to prison for using it? Nobody really cares if you don't want to use it, as long as you aren't trying to keep people who do as criminals.

Actually, it'd be more like the oldest thing to cure cancer.

But anyway, the same thing goes to you--Nobody cares if you don't want to, but there are so many people who could get benifit from it and want to, but they have to become criminals first. Even people who use it just for fun, why should they be criminals if it isn't even harming themselves, and might even be healthy for them?

Phew. Another pro marihuana propaganda article. Scientists can prove that water can cure broken bones if they really want.

Just thought it was a pretty significant medical find, as did much of the medical comunity at the American Association for Cancer Research, which is pretty amazing considering the name marijuana provokes discomfort in even halfway open minded people, and irrational thinking to come up with workarounds in order to avoid having to accept facts, in close minded people such as yourself.

But propaganda? I don't even need evidence of it's medical potential to show how wrong it is that it's illegal to use in your own home, but that's not why I posted it.

Of course, there will always be people who want to judge other people for using pot. Most of the judges do so while drinking their alcoholic beverage of choice.

    Exactly.

Now, I am not scared of pot, or drugs of any kind. But they have the laws there because of the effect that it has on your body. There are all sorts of idiots who say that it's not addictive - well, why are there perfectly healthy people saying they use it every day! I would say that's an addiction.

    LOL

It will be legal in the other 39 states pretty soon anyway. You don't even have to research and find out why it's really illegal, just let the people with some sense handle it. They have it covered now.

So I trake it that you do not drink coffee, tea, chocolate, cola or alcohol. As well as no refined sugars or tobacco? All very strong drugs with potentially dangerous health consequences...

If you want real details on the concerns of pot and your health check out www.WebMD.com
They are a leading authority used by many health professionals.
They are neither pro or con but the stats look as if its not very damaging and actually beneficial in many ways. Needless to say inhaling any kind of smoke has its own way of damaging the lungs whether the substance is harmful or not.

If that's the case, they should ban cigarettes and alcohol and make it illegal too.

EDIT: Fixed up the sentence. :p

You are so full of propaganda! You basically take the 'scientifically proven' information and believe what you want. This is the internet for goodness sake! You can find someone to scientifically support your belief in little green aliens!

Feel free to laugh at me - but I guess everything must make you laugh... LOL

It was a study done by a Harvard Professor which was then presented to The American Association for Cancer Research, gaining some positive feedback.

    Yeah... no credentials there.

And your alluding to my use of pot in incorrect. I haven't smoked it in almost a year. I don't live in a free state anymore, and i'd rather not buy from illegal drug dealers, but my health and finances are suffering for it.

Why are your finances suffering because you can't buy pot? I don't understand.

My finances are suffering due to my inability to work often due to my health. I suffer from migraines, which make computers seem like boxes of pure pain. In California, when i could buy marijuana legally at the pharmacies just for that, I was migraine free. It was wonderful.

I'm really not sure how anyone who lives and benefits from a democracy could say that they favor prohibition. Any drinker, smoker, cola drinker, etc, is using, and by the definition of many in this thread, abusing, a substance that meets many of the same criteria that marijuana does, alcohol especially. It's ridiculous to me. I'm glad that Canada is among the world-leaders in this debate.

Sorry about your migraines etc, but can't you go and see your doctor and get something like panadine forte? I am sure that whatever the dope did for your head, there is a legal version.

As far as the alcohol thing goes, I think that marijuana should have been legalised long before they legalised alcohol. I think that alcohol causes many more problems than grass.

Been there, tried that. $1,000+ worth of triptans later, had to give up because they only ever cut the migraines down about 50% and then started making them come back worse because of having to use them almost every day. The trips to the ER for a huge shot of synthetic heroin were great though, but the $200 bill kind of kills the high.

I actually started smoking cigarettes again and that got rid of the worst of it, but they still come around sometimes and I can't smoke cigarettes forever, so I'll definately be going back to pot once I am able to.

Well, if it works for you, then I say go for it. :)

If I wee you though, and considering your quality of life - Why don't you consider moving back to the 'land of the high'? If it is making such a massive difference - why live through life like that?
