Just make your videos interesting and people will watch them no matter where there at.

 

Good choice of videos makes it viral, by offering people a way to spread videos (email to friend, digg etc), people pass to people, who pass to people etcetc and your visitors slowly climbs over the weeks.

 

is a .tv domain better or a .com as far as a video blog project is concerned?

i got fascinate.tv and bewitch.tv ... think they would do great with it...whatddya say guys?

so what you're saying is any dot com is better than a name like bewitch.tv ?

 

No i'm saying that whether you pick a .com and .tv, it shouldnt matter. but i would stick with a .com because it's "classic" and easier to remember. some of your visitors may not even know there is such thing as a .tv extension and forget the URL of your website if they plan to come back.

on a related note, have you heard about the hype about .tv domains making it big later this year due to special tools being released by a company (if memory serves me correctly) named design media?

 

no i havent heard that. but that's interesting. is there an article or source about this that you know of?

Ok, it's been 3 days since I uploaded some videos but I have not gotten any results yet. No increase in traffic. My search engine traffic is picking up slowly, but I really had my hopes up with the whole video branding thing. I will give the video thing a chance so that the videos have enough time to be seen widely by many people before I abandon the idea.

 

I'm guessing the videos that you use for branding plays a big part in it

It takes 5 minutes to brand a video, it is then there forever. I call that a good investment of time.
