Ok, look at what I'm doing. First look at it in internet explorer and then look with firefox!

    Tell me what you think!

Oh yeah, its at this website: http://www.slickcoupon.com

If you think this is a good idea, you are more than welcome to use it on your website! (however, if this helps you a lot, please just a linkback to my site would help alot; I don't get much traffic :()

    Thanks and enjoy!!

IE still has a 80%+ lead over all other browsers.

86% of my traffic uses Internet Explorer 6. :-/. Stone Agers.

BTW, I see no difference between IE and FF, but I assume you are showing the code to only IE users.

Well, I mean that's why this is great. The people who have firefox don't get bothered with this irrelevant ad. However, people who don't have firefox will see this advertisement!

Also, according to w3schools.com only about 32% have FF and about 60% have IE, so there are still plenty of people to convert! :)

Also, if anyone wants a copy of the simple javascript code that I'm using to do this, please send me a pm and I'll be more than happy to send it to you! :)

No, i don't think so, because you can still view the site using internet explorer, so it's not requiring you to get firefox using referall to view it.

I think the email sort of says it's a grey area and their not too sure. I would keep the technique, but maybe use it with a javascript countdown that auto redirects after 10 seconds? That way you're definately not requiring users to download firefox to advance on the website.

Its not 100% clear, by my own opinion this is against TOS, damn google can never give a clear response, this email is 100% Copy/Paste.

Yeah, I think I will do that, except redirect in 30 seconds.

    Thanks for the feedback guys!
