Eh, I made about 50 cents or so. I only have about 20 vids up. I'm getting a few type ins now (probably from youtube vids). I only have 3 vids at youtube but they are not viral by nature though I feel people will start linking to it with time. Time will tell if this will work. For now, I just don't have enough traffic, but it has only been a week or so since I launched and I have not put so much time into it.

 

im going to add a "link to this video" box under all videos with html and bb code so visitors can copy/paste

it really does help...

How much has your bandwidth increased since you all posted your videos?

 

Um, Youtube handles the bandwidth. You don't host the videos. So, no extra bandwidth problems.

I uploaded 7 videos 2 days ago, they now have 40,000 views and are also being embedded on other websites. Surprising i have less than 20 subscribers though but thatll grow. This is the only promotion ive done so far but its generating 500+ uniques/day and today probably around 700.
You need your videos to rank in youtube search just the same as you want your sites to rank in google search so make sure to use targeted keywords in your tags, description and headline. Also i think when other sites embed your videos this definitely helps with ranking.
One video i uploaded is ranking #2 for a sweet term in youtube and that video is gonna get around 20k views today alone. Gonna work on metacafe promotion later and a few other things will see how it goes.

 

Wow, I'm jealous! It's not working for me, but then again my videos are not so viral by nature. They are sports videos. Is the traffic mostly from youtube ?

Yeah I know that but 500-700 uv for the site so fast is still very good.

I tried a few funny videos they didn't get many views, HOT videos do though. Also im not using any 3 second intro with my url or anything rather just have my url in the bottom left corner throughout the whole video this way i think people are more likely to type your url.

Also you guys should look below every metacafe video you can see they have a "your blog here" link so you can have your url under the metacafe videos which were recently viewed on your site. Its quite easy to "game" this and metacafe is now sending me 3k+ uniques a day because of that.
