Remove the ads in the intro text. Its a non-pro vision of a website / blog who places adsense units in the intro text of posts.
Keep only one ad unit on your content pages. The skyscraper and bottom ad-units are not necessary and they are not getting any valuable clicks for sure. They are also making your blog look spammy.
Use the Adsense URL filter to block some of the MFA and low paying ads apearing on your website.
    Good luck

Yes, keep ads only in the content of your articles.
Believe me that works very well !
Think outside the box, when people visit your website they are not visiting your home page, but more likley they are visiting an article to your blog page.

No acctualy you did not take my advice to the full.
Lets assume that some of your visitors are acctualy reading an article and then decide to somehow go to the home page. You have 3 ad-units on your home page.
Just make ad-units apear only when someone opened a news item.
    Good luck

the ads in the posts are a little scary...:D

make them into half banners aligned at the top or bottom...and put a leaderboard at the top below your header...

Placements are okay but change your ad link colors to navy so they look like links and not just text.
