    submit site to search engines and free directories. Submit an article to digg and put the url in your forum signature. It'll be hard because the weight loss topic is way over saturated.

    Hes right. your best bet for some quick and easy traffic would be to submit your articles to Digg.com and other service links like Delicious and such.

    Avoid them. It is usually bad traffic, i.e., could be pop-up traffic or just pay-to-surf etc. and it can get you into trouble with Google. Focus on word-of-mouth marketing and organic search.
